I did know full well that there were just too many animals out there in need of homes for me to take what I have always regarded as the self-indulgent road of saying the heartbreak of the loss of an animal was too much ever to want to go through with it again. To me, such an admission brought up the far more powerful admission that all the wonderful times you had with your animal were not worth the unhappiness at the end."

GABBY Gabby is an 8 year old calico cat. Her previous owners could no longer care for her so she is currently living at P.A.W.S. She is great in the car and loves kids. When she likes someone, she'll call that person to her cage and shows her love by giving you a head butt, smell your face, and then give kisses. She would make a great addition to any family. |

ZOEY Zoey is a darling Shepherd mix around 4-5 years old. She is very friendly with people, but is not a fan of other dogs. Zoey would do great in a home with kids 10 and up where she could be the center of attention. She is very calm and loves to get her belly rubbed and to cuddle. She is a little overweight, so walking her would also be very nice for Zoey. She is very smart and knows most of her commands (sit, paw, lay down). Zoey came from an abusive home, and is looking for her forever home. |
